30 Day Eurovision Challenge - Day 8:
Favourite Second place song
There are not many second place songs that I particularly love, but these would make the list for ones that I like:
1957 - France
1975 - UK
2003 - Belgium
2007 - Ukraine
2009 - Iceland
2011 - Italy
Out of these, Belgium is the one that most captures my heart (though last year’s triumphant Italian return song is a close runner up in this battle of the runners’ up.) As a linguist and conlanger myself, I love their invented tongue. Very melodious and a great entry.
